Hey, everyone! Meet the new Mr. and Mrs. Steven Myles!
This couple is amazing. I met Becca many years ago at White Sulphur Springs where we bonded over a shared name. My name is spelled right, but she didn’t hold it against me. However, I didn’t have the pleasure of meeting her intended until the wedding.
The wedding took place in Canaan Valley Resort, WV: one of the most remote wedding locations…and one of the most gorgeous. The morning threatened rain, but it held off. The bride and her bridesmaids gathered at the foot of the mountain for preparations!
The rain decided to sprinkle at this point, but we headed a few miles down the road in denial.
They made me cry.
As Steve works in South Sudan with East African Ministries, the happy couple met online. They met for lunch on their first date, but hit it off so well, they stayed out through dinner, too!
Becca’s dress was made for twirling.
Oh, and getting married.
Yes, the rain came back for the briefest moment, but disappeared just as quickly.
There was a 20 minute ski lift ride to the ceremony site atop the mountain, and Becca spent these last moments with her father.
Isn’t the view gorgeous? It was perfect for Becca and Steve.
The couple made the choice to take communion as their first act as a married couple, a testimony of their faith.
Just look at that “we’re married!!!” face. So cute.
Becca put a lot of work into the reception details. Most decorations were handmade and all were done with love.
Then, as the invitations advertised, it was time for enthusiastic dancing!!
Here’s to happily ever after for the new Mr. and Mrs. Steven Myles!!
